ORTHOGONAL SYSTEMS

ORTHOGONAL
SYSTEMS.

INDEPENDENT INFRASTRUCTURE. DESIGNED FOR FAILURE.

Orthogonal Systems is an infrastructure and systems engineering firm focused on reliability, isolation, and long-term operational trust. We design and operate systems that continue to function under real-world constraints: unreliable connectivity, limited power, operational chaos, and human error.

CORE PHILOSOPHY

01 // ORTHOGONALITY

Systems should fail independently, not together.

Orthogonal Systems applies strict separation between components so that failures remain localized. Identity, networking, control planes, and public interfaces are designed as independent failure domains.

02 // FAILURE-FIRST DESIGN

Outages and misuse are assumed, not treated as exceptions.

Instead of preventing all failures, we focus on predictable failure modes and explicit recovery mechanisms. Systems should fail quietly — and recover deliberately.

03 // NEUTRAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Identity and control must remain independent of incentives.

Authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement remain neutral, auditable, and revocable. Trust is not a feature. It is an architectural property.

04 // LOCAL-FIRST

Cloud augments systems; it does not replace resilience.

Systems must continue to operate even when the internet does not. We prioritize edge capability and offline-first architecture.

SYSTEM CAPABILITIES

01. INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN

End-to-end design for environments where uptime matters more than aesthetics. Offline-first architecture.

02. IDENTITY ARCHITECTURE

Centralized IdP systems that work when the internet doesn't. SSO and local auth caching.

03. EDGE SYSTEMS

Deployment of ARM compute nodes and industrial micro-servers to reduce cloud dependency.

04. INCIDENT AWARENESS

Explicit blast-radius containment, kill-switches, and manual override paths.

05. PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE

Multi-tenant isolation where clients get full services under controlled subdomains.

06. PUBLIC STREAMS

Public-facing streaming systems with optional monetization layers, isolated from core control.

OPERATING MODEL: DESIGN AUTHORITY

We do not sell user data. We do not bundle ads into identity. We design systems where trust is cumulative.

STATUS: Currently building foundational infrastructure and operating pilot deployments.
